- Hafs ibn Asim
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Khubayb ibn Abd al-Rahman from Hafs ibn Asim, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) or Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, in doubt, that the Prophet ﷺ said what lies between his house and his pulpit is a garden of the gardens of Paradise, and that his pulpit is over his pool. The editor cites Ibn Abd al-Barr (al-Tamhid) that most Muwatta transmitters gave it with the doubt, while Rawh ibn al-Qasim and Ma'n gave it from both Companions together, and Ibn Mahdi gave it from Abu Hurayra alone in al-Bukhari (7335). 1 2
