«صلاة في مسجدي هذا خير من ألف صلاة فيما سواه، إلا المسجد الحرام»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on the Prophet ﷺ's Mosque. Yahya transmits from Malik from Zayd ibn Rabah and Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Abdallah, both from Abu Abdallah al-Aghar, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him): the Prophet said that prayer in his mosque is better than a thousand prayers in any other mosque, except the Sacred Mosque. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it from Malik, and from him Ibn Majah (1404); al-Tinisi transmitted it in al-Bukhari (1190); Qutayba and Ma'n in al-Tirmidhi (325); and that one copy calls al-Aghar "Salman al-Aghar". 1
