Chain of transmission
Summary
The first report in the chapter on forbidding a funeral to be followed with fire. Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa, from Asma bint Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with her), that she instructed her family, when she died, to fumigate her clothes, then perfume her, not to sprinkle perfume on her shroud, and not to follow her with fire. The editor notes that Abu Musab and Suwayd transmitted it from Malik. 1
