Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa from Fatima bint al-Mundhir ibn al-Zubayr from Asma bint Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with her), in the chapter on the summary of menstruation: a woman asked the Prophet ﷺ's wife what she should do when menstrual blood gets on her garment. She told her to rub it with her fingers, then sprinkle it with water, and then pray in it. The editor notes that Yahya's version "from his father" between Hisham and Fatima is a clear error, and that Hisham transmitted it from his wife Fatima, as in the other Muwatta copies. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Ibn Khuzayma and al-Baghawi, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
