Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on the eclipse prayer. Yahya transmits from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from Fatima bint al-Mundhir from Asma bint Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with her): Aisha came when the sun was eclipsed, and people were standing praying while she was standing praying too. She asked what was happening with the people, and she pointed her hand to the sky and said "Glory be to God". Asma asked, "A sign?", and she nodded that yes. Asma stood until she fainted, and began pouring water over her head. The Prophet praised God and said that there is nothing he had not seen before, even Paradise and the Fire, and that it was revealed to him that they will be tested in their graves, similar to or near the trial of the Dajjal: one of them is brought and asked what he knows of this man. The believer or the certain one says he is Muhammad, Messenger of God, who brought them the clear proofs and guidance, and they answered and believed and followed. He is told: sleep righteously, we knew you were a believer. The hypocrite or the doubter says he does not know, that he heard people say something and said it. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Abu Awana, al-Tahawi, al-Bayhaqi and al-Baghawi from Malik's transmitters, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
