Summary

A saying of Malik with which he closes the chapter on washing the dead: there is no specific prescribed form for washing the dead, and no known manner for it; he is washed so as to be cleansed. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik, and al-Tirmidhi quoted it from him after the report in his Jami (990). 1
