Summary
Malik says it reached him from his grandfather Malik ibn Abi Amir that Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) said: the Messenger said to me: do not sell a dinar for two dinars, or a dirham for two dirhams. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said this report is mursal in the Muwatta according to a group of its narrators, while Bukayr ibn al-Ashajj transmitted it connected, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Malik ibn Abi Amir, from Uthman. 1
