Summary
Yahya transmits from Malik, from a man Malik considered trustworthy, from Amr ibn Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger forbade the sale of arrabun (down-payment sale). The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr thought the trustworthy man in Malik's view may have been Ibn Lahia, and that al-Qanabi and al-Tinisi transmitted it with the wording it reached him, not from a trustworthy man he knew. 1
