Summary
Malik transmits from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, from Aisha, mother of the believers, that she proposed Qurayba bint Abi Umayya in marriage to Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, and they married him to her. Then they blamed Abd al-Rahman, saying they had married her only through Aisha. Aisha sent for him and told him. He put Qurayba's affair in her hands, and she chose her husband. That was not a divorce. 1
