Summary

Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Urwa ibn al-Zubayr, from Aisha, mother of the believers, that Hafsa bint Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr al-Siddiq entered blood in the third menstrual period. Ibn Shihab mentioned this to Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, who said Urwa spoke the truth. Some people disputed this with her, and Aisha said: you have spoken truly. Do you know what the periods are? The periods are the times of purity. 1
