Summary
A saying of Malik: the settled matter among them is that inheritance of paternal brothers, when none of the full brothers is present, is like that of full brothers, males like males and females like females, except that they do not share with the maternal siblings in the fixed share in which full brothers share with them, because they came from the mother who joined those. If full and paternal brothers gather and there is a male among the full brothers, no paternal brother inherits. If the full brothers are only one woman or more females without a male, one sister gets half, and paternal sisters get a sixth to complete the two thirds. 1
