Summary
A saying of Malik: the settled matter among them is that full brothers inherit nothing alongside a male child or a male son's child, nor alongside a father. They inherit alongside daughters and daughters of sons; the fixed shares go first to their owners, and what remains goes to the brothers, shared on God's book: the male gets the share of two females. If the deceased leaves no father, grandfather or child, one sister gets half, and two or more sisters get two thirds. If there is a male brother with them, none of the sisters has a fixed share. In one case full brothers share a third with maternal siblings, which Malik explained with its reason. 1
