  2. Muhammad ibn Shihab al-Zuhri
  3. al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid

Summary

The last hadith in the book of prayer in Yahya's transmission. Yahya's line from Malik from Ibn Shihab from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, that he saw Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) strike al-Munkadir in prayer after the afternoon prayer. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Ibn Wahb in al-Tahawi's Sharh al-Ma'ani (1/304) transmitted it, and that Abd al-Razzaq (3964) transmitted it from al-Thawri from Ma'mar from al-Zuhri in similar words. 1
