Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on practice in the congregational prayer: the Prophet ﷺ told that angels by night and angels by day succeed one another among people and gather at the afternoon prayer and the dawn prayer. Then those who spent the night among them ascend, and God asks them, though He knows best about them, how they left His servants. They say: we left them praying, and we came to them and they were praying. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Nasa'i and Ahmad from Malik's transmitters, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
