Summary
A report that Malik transmits from his paternal uncle Abu Suhayl ibn Malik from his father Malik ibn Abi Amir, in the chapter on straightening the rows: he was with Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) when the prayer was called, and he was speaking with him about giving him a stipend. He kept talking while Uthman smoothed the pebbles with his sandals, until men came who had been assigned to straighten the rows and told him they were straight. Uthman said to him, "Stand in the row", and said the takbir. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Abd al-Razzaq transmitted it. 1 2
