Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, in the chapter on the Prophet ﷺ's witr prayer: he asked Aisha how the Prophet prayed in Ramadan, and she said he did not add to eleven rak'as in Ramadan or any other time: four, not asked about their beauty or length, then four in the same way, then three. She asked him whether he slept before the witr, and he said his eyes sleep but his heart does not. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, al-Tirmidhi in the Shama'il, Ibn Khuzayma and Ibn Hibban, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
