Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Yazid al-Madani and from Abu al-Nadr, both from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman from Aisha, in the chapter on seated voluntary prayer: the Prophet ﷺ prayed seated and recited seated. When about thirty or forty verses of his recitation remained, he stood, recited standing, then bowed and prostrated, and did the same in the second rak'a. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, Ahmad and al-Tahawi, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
