«لأن يصلي أحدكم بظهر الحرة خير له من أن يقعد حتى إذا قام الإمام يخطب جاء يتخطى رقاب الناس يوم الجمعة»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with him) ibn Hazm, from someone who told him, that Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) used to say, in the chapter on dress, stepping over necks and facing the imam on Friday: it is better for one of you to pray at the foot of the lava field outside Medina than to sit until the imam stands to preach and then come stepping over the necks of people on Friday. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Yahya ibn Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it. 1
