Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on the ritual washing on Friday. Yahya transmits from Malik from Sumayy, client of Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Salih al-Samman from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him): the Prophet ﷺ likened one who bathes on Friday as he bathes from sexual impurity and then comes early at the first hour to one who brings a camel, the second to a cow, the third to a horned ram, the fourth to a hen, and the fifth to an egg. When the imam comes out, the angels attend to hear the remembrance. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban, Ahmad and al-Shafi'i, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
