Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Sumayy, client of Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Salih al-Samman from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on saying amen behind the imam: the Prophet ﷺ ordered the followers to say amen when the imam finishes the Opening chapter with its last verse, and whoever's amen coincides with the angels' amen is forgiven his past sin. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, Ahmad and al-Shafi'i, and notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that the hadith with this chain is in the Muwatta among its many transmitters (al-Tamhid). 1 2
