Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Isma'il ibn Abi Hakim from Sulayman ibn Yasar, in the chapter on the man who repeats prayer: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) went out in the morning to his land at al-Jurf and saw a wet dream on his garment. He said he had been tested with it since he took charge of people's affairs. He bathed, washed what he had seen on his garment, and then prayed after sunrise. The editor notes that Yahya's version says "he saw" while another says "he found", and that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it from Malik, referring to Abd al-Razzaq's Musannaf and al-Bayhaqi. 1
