  1. Malik ibn Anas
  2. Damra ibn Sa'id al-Mazini
  3. Aban ibn Uthman

Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Damra ibn Sa'id al-Mazini from Aban ibn Uthman, in the chapter on leaving ablution for food touched by fire: Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) ate bread and meat, then rinsed his mouth and washed his hands, wiped his face with them, and prayed without performing ablution. The editor notes that a similar report is raised to the Prophet ﷺ from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab from Uthman, with a good chain, in Abd al-Razzaq, Ahmad and al-Bazzar. 1
