Summary
A ruling of Malik transmitted by Yahya in the chapter on performing ablution: he was asked about someone who washed his face before rinsing his mouth, or washed his arms before his face by forgetfulness. He answered that the first should rinse his mouth and not repeat the face, and that the second should wash the face and then repeat the arms so they come after the face, if he is still in place or near it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it from Malik. 1
