Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Anas ibn Malik, in the chapter on the times of prayer: they prayed the afternoon, and then a man would go to Quba and reach it while the sun was still high. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr considered its wording stopped in the Muwatta but "raised" among the people of hadith, and that the phrase "to Quba" is disputed. Al-Nasa'i, al-Bazzar and al-Daraqutni said Malik erred and the correct phrase is "to al-Awali", while Ibn Hajar answered that Ibn Abi Dhi'b transmitted it like Malik. 1 2
