Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Ishaq ibn Abdallah ibn Abi Talha from Anas ibn Malik, in the chapter on the times of prayer: they prayed the afternoon in Medina, and then a man would go out to the Banu Amr ibn Awf in Quba and find them not yet having prayed it, which shows the Prophet ﷺ's early afternoon and the width of its time. The editor cites al-Bukhari and Muslim, and Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that it belongs with the connected reports, since Ibn al-Mubarak and Atiq ibn Ya'qub transmitted it from Malik with the mention of prayer with the Messenger of God. 1 2
