Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, that Asma bint Umays gave birth to Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr at Dhu al-Hulayfa, and Abu Bakr ordered her to wash and then enter ihram. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said the hadith is relayed through several sound routes, and that some make it the words of Abu Bakr. 1
