Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Aisha and Hafsa, the wives of the Prophet ﷺ, the same as Ibn Umar's saying about requiring resolution before dawn. The editor notes that copy M reads 'bi-mithl', that Yahya ibn Ayyub transmitted it from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with him), from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, from Hafsa, from the Prophet raised; and that al-Tirmidhi (730) said Hafsa's hadith is not known raised except by this route, the sound one for him being halted, referring to his Kabir book of defects (202). 1
