Summary

Malik says he asked Ibn Shihab in what way Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) took the tenth from the Nabat. Ibn Shihab said: it was taken from them in the time of ignorance, and Umar required it of them. The editor notes that Abu Musab and Ishaq al-Tabba' transmitted it from Malik. 1
