Summary
A saying of Malik: the practice among us regarding a man who buys wheat or dates for trade with gold or silver, keeps them until a year passes, and then sells them: he owes zakat on them when he sells them, if their price reaches what zakat is due on. This is unlike a harvest a man reaps from his own land, or the date harvest. 1
