Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from al-Saib ibn Yazid, that Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Hadrami came with a slave of his to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) and asked for his hand to be cut off, because he had stolen a mirror belonging to his wife, valued at sixty dirhams. Umar said: release him; there is no cutting on him; your servant stole your goods. 1
