Summary
Malik said of an umm walad who wounds: her master is liable for the blood-money of that wound from his property, unless the blood-money of the wound is greater than the value of the umm walad; then the master owes no more than her value. If the master hands over his umm walad for the wound, it is as if he handed her over, and he owes nothing more. This is the best that has been heard, and he owes no more for her offence than her value. 1
