Summary
Malik said: the practice among us regarding someone who made a slave-girl conditionally freed (mudabbara), and she bore children after he made her so, then the slave-girl died before the man who made her conditionally freed: her children are of her standing; the same conditions that applied to her apply to them, and her mother's death does not harm them. When the one who made her conditionally freed dies, they are freed if the third has room for them. 1
