Summary
Malik said: every woman who bears a child, her child is of her standing. If she is free and bears after her manumission, her children are free; if she is conditionally freed, a contract slave, freed for a term, a slave under service, partly free, mortgaged, or an umm walad, then each one's child follows the condition of its mother: they are freed when she is freed and enslaved when she is enslaved. 1
