Summary
Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with him) ibn Hazm, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham (may God be pleased with him), from his father, that al-As ibn Hisham died leaving three sons, two from one mother and one from another. One of the two full brothers inherited his property and the clientage of his father's clients. The heir then died, leaving a son and a paternal brother. They brought the dispute to Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him), who ruled the clientage of the clients for the brother. 1
