Chain of transmission
Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Kab ibn Malik al-Ansari, that his father Kab ibn Malik used to narrate that the Prophet ﷺ said: the soul of the believer is a bird that hangs from the trees of the Garden until God returns it to its body on the day He raises it. The editor notes that Abu Musab, Suwayd, Ibn Majah, al-Qanabi, Ibn Wahb, Ibn al-Qasim, Uthman ibn Umar in al-Tabarani, al-Shafii in Ahmad, and al-Muafa ibn Imran in Ibn Abd al-Barr's al-Tamhid (11/56) transmitted it. 1
