«إذا بدا حاجب الشمس، فأخروا الصلاة حتى تبرز، وإذا غاب حاجب الشمس، فأخروا الصلاة حتى تغيب»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik transmits as a mursal from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ used to order prayer delayed when the rim of the sun appears until it rises clear, and when the rim of the sun sets until it sets. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and al-Qa'nabi transmitted it, that Malik gave it only as a mursal, and that it is in the Sahihayn through Hisham from his father from Ibn Umar, with slight differences in wording. He refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
