Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on prostration in the Qur'an. Yahya transmits from Malik from Abdullah ibn Yazid, client of al-Aswad ibn Sufyan, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, that Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) recited for them Surat al-Inshiqaq and prostrated in it, and when he finished he told them the Prophet ﷺ prostrated in it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and al-Qa'nabi transmitted it, and Uthman ibn Umar in Ahmad and al-Tahawi, Qutayba in al-Nasa'i (2/161), al-Shafi'i in al-Bayhaqi, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani (267), and Yahya ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi in Muslim (2/88). 1 2
