Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Sa'id, who said: I was sitting with Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, and he called a man and asked him to tell him what he heard from his father. The man related that his father came to Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him) and asked him about reciting the Qur'an in seven days. Zayd said that is good, but it is more beloved to him to recite it in half a month or ten days, explaining that he wanted to reflect on it and understand it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it from Malik. 1
