Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Sharik ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Namir from Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on asking for rain: a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said the livestock had died and the roads were cut, so pray to God. The Prophet prayed, and they had rain from Friday to Friday. Then a man came and said the houses had collapsed, the roads were cut and the livestock had died. The Prophet said: O God, let the rain fall on the tops of the mountains, the hillocks, the valley bottoms and where trees grow. The cloud parted from Medina as a cloth parts. The editor cites al-Bukhari (1016, 1017, 1019), al-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban, al-Shafi'i and al-Bayhaqi from Malik's transmitters, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
