Chain of transmission

  1. Malik ibn Anas
  2. Nafi' al-Madani

Summary

The first report in the chapter on leaving off prayer before and after the two festivals. Yahya transmits from Malik from Nafi' that Abdullah ibn Umar did not pray on the day of breaking the fast before the prayer or after it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it, and that al-Tirmidhi (538) and others transmitted it raised from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs from Ibn Umar, which he judged sound and good. The sound stopped report from Ibn Umar is as Malik transmitted, followed by Musa ibn Uqba, Ayyub, Abdullah al-Umari and Qatada. The raised report is sound from Ibn Abbas in the Sahihayn. 1
