Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Nafi' from Salim ibn Abdullah, that Abdullah ibn Umar rode to Dhat al-Nusub and shortened the prayer on that journey. Malik says there are four postal stages between Dhat al-Nusub and Medina. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd, al-Shafi'i and Yahya ibn Bukayr transmitted it, and that Ibn Abi Shayba transmitted it from Ayyub from Nafi' with the words "and it is sixteen farsakhs". 1 2
