Summary
A report that Malik transmits as a mursal from Shurayk ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Namir from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, in the chapter on the two dawn rak'as: a people heard the iqama and began to pray the two dawn rak'as. The Prophet came out to them and said in disapproval: "Two prayers together?". The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it. Al-Thawri and al-Darawardi followed Malik in the mursal form, and Muhammad ibn Umara and Ibrahim ibn Tahman transmitted it raised from Shurayk from Anas. Abu Hatim al-Razi said the mursal report of Malik and those who followed him is more like the sound one (al-Ilal 369). 1
