Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, who heard al-A'raj say, in the chapter on night prayer in Ramadan: people were only ever found calling down curses on the unbelievers in the qunut of Ramadan, and the reader would recite the surah of al-Baqara in eight rak'as, and when he recited it in twelve rak'as people thought he had lightened it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Abd al-Razzaq transmitted it from Malik. 1
