Summary

The first hadith in the chapter on what a man may do with his wife while she is menstruating. Yahya transmits from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam as a mursal: a man asked the Prophet ﷺ what is lawful for him with his wife while she is menstruating. He told him to tie her waist-wrap on her, and then everything above that is lawful. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan and Yahya ibn Bukayr transmitted it, and cites Ibn Abd al-Barr that he knows of no one who transmitted it connected with these words, though its sense is sound and established. 1 2
