Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on the man who repeats prayer after praying without remembering, and washing his garment. Yahya transmits from Malik from Isma'il ibn Abi Hakim that Ata ibn Yasar told him as a mursal that the Prophet ﷺ said the takbir in one of the prayers, then gestured with his hand to the worshippers to stay, went and bathed, and returned with traces of water on his skin. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it from Malik, and that this text is in the Sahihayn connected through Abu Salama from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) (al-Bukhari 1/77, Muslim 2/101). 1 2
