Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf (may God be pleased with him), from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: whoever spends two pairs in God's path will be called from Paradise: O servant of God, this is good; whoever is among the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer, whoever is of the people of jihad from the gate of jihad, whoever of the people of charity from the gate of charity, and whoever of the people of fasting from the gate of al-Rayyan. Abu Bakr said: there is no necessity for anyone called from these gates; does anyone get called from all of them? He said: yes, and I hope you will be among them. 1
