Chain of transmission
Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on covering the face in ihram. Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, that he said: al-Furafisa ibn Umayr al-Hanafi told me that he saw Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) at al-Arj covering his face while in ihram. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1047) and Suwayd (494) transmitted it from Malik, and that al-Bayhaqi (5/54) transmitted it from al-Qa'nabi from Sulayman ibn Bilal from Yahya ibn Said. 1
