Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Hibban, that he heard him mention that a man passed Abu Dharr at al-Rabadha, and asked him where he was going; he said: the pilgrimage. The man asked: did anyone else dismiss you? He said no. He said: then resume the work. When he came to Mecca and stayed as long as God willed, he saw people gathered around a man; it was the old man he had found at al-Rabadha, Abu Dharr; when he saw him he recognised him and said: he is the one I told you about. 1
