Chain of transmission
- Malik ibn Anas
- Abu al-Zubayr
Summary
Malik transmits from Abu al-Zubayr that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) judged a ram for a hyena, a goat for a gazelle, a kid for a hare, and a jerboa for a young goat. The editor notes that Malik's transmitters all narrated it from Abu al-Zubayr from Jabir, and that Yahya alone left out Jabir. 1
