Summary

Malik transmits from Jafar ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ slaughtered some of his offering with his own hand, and had others slaughter the rest. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said the correct chain is through Jabir, and that Ali's hadith came from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla from him. 1
